Red velvet cupcakes by DC cupcakes

Its Christmas time and everyone is decorating their houses, even I am but an amazing way to beautify or make your house interesting is by making Red velvet cupcakes! They are red and white and it looks amazing when you showcase them in your home while people are visiting..
There are 2 elements in this dish, the muffin or the cake itself and second the fabulous vanilla cream cheese frosting! I started out by making the muffins, and coloring them.. It looks so beautiful to watch when the red takes over the whole batter... I needed few ingredients which I already had in hand.

It wasn't long before they came out so gorgeous

Now for the second element, the vanilla cream cheese frosting. I was very scared cause every time I try to make a frosting I always fail to get the right consistency, but this time it was very easy and it turned out perfect :D

And when I was done with them It kinda looked like this...

Banana bread by Laura Vitale

My father's sister lives in Singapore and every year during this time she comes to visit India. This time when she was coming to our house I wanted to make something for her. I decided to go with banana bread as she doesn't like to eat too much sweet. I used the recipe I always use for it and it is by Laura Vitale. It is the most easy recipe and the most delicious trust me. The ingredients used for this were very basic which every kitchen has in hand.

I started making it at about 6pm and my aunt was to come by 7. I was very sure that I will be ready to present it by after dinner...and I actually managed to finish it by 8.

Homemade chocolates by ME

For Diwali me and my family decided that we gift people chocolate hampers. But not any normal choclate hampers, chocolate hampers made by MEE! So I decided to take it as one of my personal project dishes. To make them I didn't take any recipe as I already knew how to make chocolates. It was fun melting the chocolates then putting it into molds and then checking them and wrapping them. I made 6 different shapes and wrapped it with 6 different colorful wrapping paper.

Macaroons by Delicious Magazine, UK and Tiramisu by Laura Vitale

Macaroons by Delicious Magazine, UK
On the 3rd of November I attempted to make macaroons for the first time. I searched up a recipe and I found on in the Delicious Magazine, UK. I made 3 different colors for macaroons and filled it with simple butter cream.  It was and easy recipe but a little tiring cause I had to make 3 bathes because of the different colors. There were only 3 basic ingredients, almond meal, sugar and eggs for the macaroons. For the butter cream I only needed butter and sugar.

I followed step by step and it was quite simple.. my favorite color was I think blue cause the mixture was looking so pretty and shiny.

Tiramisu by Laura Vitale
On the 24th of October, I made my first dish for the project which was Tiramisu by Laura Vitale. It was not the first time I made Tiramisu but it was the first time I used a different method. The difference in them was that this one needed no eggs while the other one contains eggs.

I just wanted to try a new method and recipe but It did not really work well. I did not have the proper base ingredients. Well, it was worth a try. The texture was a little off and it was too creamy.
