Molten Chocolate Babycakes by Nigella Lawson

On the 26th of February, I was browsing through Nigella Lawson's website to search for my next dish and I came upon this recipe. There was an immediate temptation to eat this after looking at the picture posted beside the recipe. It was of 2 small cakes and chocolate lava oozing out from one of them. I HAD to make it now.

Molten chocolate cakes look like cakes but when you break it apart, lush chocolate lava flows out. It is extraordinary. When you think about it, it's confusing because you baked them but it still has a liquid center.

This was an easy recipe, not to time consuming and easy to follow. When I was going to dig into mine, I was really scared if the lava will come out or not, but it did. The cakes were a success and I highly recommend you guys to make this.

Chocolate Soufflé by Gordan Ramsy

Last weekend I made chocolate souffle from Gordan Ramsy's recipe. It was a new experience for me and a very enjoyable one at that. A souffle is a lightly baked cake made with egg yolks and beaten with egg whites combines with various other ingredients and served as a savory main dish or sweetened as a dessert. It is derived from France, a french creme patissiere base/flavored cream sauce or puree and egg whites beaten to a soft peak meringue. The Ingredients were:

It was fun to make this and to see how the different ingredients worked together. Especially the corn flour with heated milk, the reaction was (I shouldnt be using this word) weird. All in all I think I shall experiment with different flavors of souffle.

Nothing really went wrong except the texture was little on the liquid side and it should have been in between solid and liquid. I think 2 more minutes in the oven should have done the trick but oh well...

Tiramisu from allrecipes.com

Last thursday, which was 31st of January I made Tiramisu. Tiramisu is an Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascerpone cheese, and flavored with cocoa. The creation of the cake was originated in the city of Siena. Some confectioners were said to have created it in honor of Cosimo III on the occasion of his visit to the country.

I always had Tiramisu in restaurants and could've never imagined to make it on my own, but when I did I was surprised by how easy it was. The experience was as amazing as the taste. I loved it. The only thing I found a challenge was getting a few ingredients. There were 2 ingredients that I couldn't find in any local supermarket so I had to order it from some bakery far away. But keeping that away it was Fab.
